one of the great mysteries of life

How does this happen? Someone tell me. How does a dog hair get wedged between the lens and the frame of my glasses so far that if I try to pull it out, the hair breaks?

What sorcerer's magic is this?

junctures of november

This month with filled with adventures.

We went to Trouble Coffee Company, which was featured in This American Life:

We spent an entire day in Golden Gate Park:
Addie was not a fan of the bison.

Then there was the flood:
It was discovered because water was pouring out of this light fixture.
We were moved to this swanky apartment for a week:
Addie and Moby spying on Twitter.
Addie found her new home.
We watched Chicago with Elaine and Greg and it was awesome:

I finally downloaded and beat Sam & Max. It only took me 15 years:

Nick and I had out 7th anniversary:

We went to Musee Mecanique for our yearly photo booth photos.
And he bought me flying wish paper.
The restaurant was a little to fancy for us, so we went to Ghiradelli Square for dessert.
And took our first ride on the cable cars.

For our anniversary, I got Nick a cheese making kit:

Paneer.
Garlic goat cheese.
Honey goat cheese.
Ricotta.
I got my nose pierced:

An hour later, we realized that the stud matched Addie.
We attended the opera and saw La Cenerentola (Cinderella):

Nick turned 26:

I got him a royal title. Don't worry, I still outrank him.
So much rain:

But I'm finding ways to survive.
VW Bus tour with two couples from our building. Seriously, best tour ever:

My first attempt at knitting a color pattern:

Neil arrived in America with my brothers and we all road tripped in Ryan's bus:

Thanksgiving:
The famous cheesecake. Gone within seconds.

LA Day:
Finally tried Phillippe's. I mostly agree with everyone else's stance: this place has the better sandwich, but Cole's has the better venue.
Olvera Street.
The Museum of Death. It is exactly what it sounds like.
It's a Wrap. We all ended up with something from True Blood.
Perch.
The Last Bookstore. Nick said I could only buy two books. I ended up with six.
Making sure Neil's visit was filled with the American experience of bacon everything.
Second Thanksgiving:
Zombicide before dropping Neil at the airport.
Six people trying to take pictures of all six dogs.
Whiskey and cigar time.
The drive back to San Francisco:
